Norma › Norma AI
An AI assistant for Turkish legislation and case law
Ask your question; see which article and which court decision the answer rests on, on the same screen.
Ask a general-purpose chatbot a legal question and you usually get a well-written answer. What you do not get is which provision it rests on, or whether that provision is still in force; to check, you go back to the legislation anyway.
Norma AI builds its answer from Norma's own legislation and case-law corpus and lists the articles and decisions behind every answer. You click a source and read the text itself: the answer stays an interpretation, the source stays the original.
You can reach the same corpus from your own AI tool. The MCP connector comes with Norma AI and lets a client such as Claude search Norma from inside the conversation.
Answers with sources
- The basis under every answer
- The legislative articles and court decisions behind the answer are listed; clicking one opens the text itself.
- Used and unused kept apart
- For every source found, the screen shows whether the answer actually used it — in two groups, “used in the answer” and “not cited”.
- It asks rather than guesses
- When more than one document carries the same number — for example a law and its repealed provisions — the assistant asks which one you mean instead of silently picking one.
Where it searches
- Legislation
- A legislation corpus kept current by scanning the Official Gazette. Repealed provisions are marked separately.
- Case law
- Decisions of the Court of Cassation, the Council of State, the Constitutional Court, the regional courts of appeal, the Court of Accounts and the Court of Jurisdictional Disputes. Case-law access is a separate permission.
- Your own documents
- A contract or case file you upload can be included in the question. You choose where the search runs.
Usage allowance
- Four tiers
- Standard, Pro, Max and Ultra. Tiers differ in daily question allowance and MCP usage limits. Prices are on the home page.
- Daily allowance becomes a monthly quota
- Quiet days are not wasted: the daily allowance turns into a quota spread over the whole month.
- Clarifying questions are free
- Your replies to the questions the assistant asks to clarify a request do not count against your allowance.
- Follow-ups are free
- Follow-up questions asked within 90 seconds of a question are not counted separately — up to ten in a chain.
- No model, no charge
- Questions answered without running the AI model, such as fetching an article by its number, do not count against your allowance.
- Per-user limits
- A company administrator can set a separate daily limit per user. Whichever is reached first, the company pool or the personal limit, applies.
The MCP connector
- From your own AI tool
- You add Norma as a connector to an MCP-capable client such as Claude; the client then searches Norma's corpus from inside the conversation.
- Comes with Norma AI
- The connector is not sold separately; it comes with the Norma AI add-on. Access scope opens with the Legislation module.
- Your administrator decides who connects
- Each user who connects needs the MCP usage permission from the company administrator. It is never granted automatically — not even to the administrator.
- Your password never reaches the client
- When connecting you are sent to Norma's own sign-in page. You enter your password only there; the AI client never sees it.
- Your own tool writes the answer
- Norma returns the source texts; your AI tool writes the answer based on them.
- Company documents are not open yet
- Over MCP you reach legislation, case law and Revenue Administration (GIB) rulings today. Company documents stay deliberately closed until folder permissions are carried over the connection.
What you can do over MCP
- Search legislation
- By law number or by topic.
- Fetch an article
- Retrieve the text of a specific article directly.
- Search within a law
- Find a word or phrase inside a single law; list the structure of its articles.
- Current rates and amounts
- Look up current rates, amounts and dates such as VAT, fees and tax brackets.
- Search decisions
- Search case law by keyword or by meaning; fetch the full text of a decision.
- Tax rulings
- Search Revenue Administration rulings and fetch their text.
- Remaining allowance
- Ask your client how much of your allowance is left.
- Repealed provisions excluded
- Repealed articles are left out of searches by default.

Who uses it?
- In-house counsel
- You get the answer together with its basis, and when writing an internal opinion you can show which article you rely on, with the source.
- Lawyers
- While preparing a case you search legislation and case law in the same question and move to the decision behind the answer in one click.
- Teams already using an AI client
- If you already work with a tool such as Claude, connect Norma to it and search legislation and case law inside your existing workflow.
Frequently asked questions
Can I rely on Norma AI's answers?
An answer is an interpretation; its basis is the original text. That is why the sources are listed and clickable under every answer. Before an important decision we recommend reading the source itself.
Is Norma AI sold separately?
Yes. Norma AI is an add-on to any module and comes in four tiers: Standard, Pro, Max and Ultra. Prices are on the home page.
Do I pay extra for MCP?
No. The MCP connector comes with the Norma AI add-on. Access scope opens with the Legislation module. The company administrator grants the MCP usage permission to each user who connects.
Where are my questions to Norma AI sent?
Unless your organisation uses a local language model, your question and the relevant passages needed for the answer are sent to the language-model provider that generates it (e.g. Google, Anthropic), and the answer is produced there. When you ask about your own document, the relevant parts of that document are sent as well. On demo accounts, questions and generated answers may be reviewed to improve the quality of Norma's answers.
Can I query my company documents over MCP?
Not yet. Today MCP gives access to legislation, case law and tax rulings. Your company documents can be used with the assistant inside the Norma application.
