What exactly does Norma do?
It brings three jobs together: it scans the Official Gazette every day to catch legislative changes, makes that legislation searchable alongside case law, and turns the changes into compliance tasks your team can track. You can add your own documents to the same workspace.
How does it track the Official Gazette?
When the Official Gazette is published, the system scans it automatically and adds newly published legislation to the corpus. If a document you follow has changed, you receive an email alert. You never have to check the Gazette yourself.
Which legislation and case law are covered?
The corpus covers laws, presidential decisions, regulations, communiqués, circulars and board decisions; repealed provisions are marked separately so they are never confused with the ones in force. On the case law side it includes decisions of the Court of Cassation, the Council of State, the Constitutional Court, regional courts of appeal, the Court of Accounts and the Court of Jurisdictional Disputes.
Can I upload my own documents?
Yes. You can upload contracts, case files, internal policies and similar documents. They are searched together with legislation; when you ask the AI a question, both the legislation and your own documents are considered in the same answer.
Can I trust the AI's answers?
Every answer shows the document and article it relies on; you can click the source and read the text yourself, so verification stays in your hands. Norma does not give legal opinions — it finds the source and speeds up the reading.
Where is my data stored?
In the cloud setup your data is held on servers we operate, protected by permission boundaries. For organisations that do not want their data to leave the building, Norma can be installed on your own servers — in that case no data reaches us at all.
Is any installation required? Does it work on mobile?
No installation is needed in the cloud — you start from the browser the day you open an account. iOS and Android apps are ready and will be in the stores shortly; you sign in with the same account.
Can I connect to Norma from my own AI tool?
Yes. With MCP support you can connect to Norma directly from an AI client such as Claude and query legislation and your documents inside your own working environment.
